Pumpkin Treats for the Puppies

Now my dogs are into pumpkin too!  Here they are looking for more treats after they tasted the homemade bone treats.

Here is the Recipe:

Ingredients:

1 egg

1/4 teaspoon baking powder

1/4 teaspoon baking soda

1 teaspoon cinnamon

2 cups of whole wheat flour

4 tablespoons of water

2 tablespoons coconut oil, softened

1/2 cup pureed pumpkin (canned or fresh)

Instructions:

1: Pre-heat the oven to 350 Degrees F.

2: Mix together the pumpkin, softened coconut oil, and water in a standing mixer.

3: Then mix in the flour, cinnamon, baking soda, and baking powder.

4: Mix it a bit more then add the egg.

5: Keep mixing until it is all incorporated.  It might take a few minutes and feel free to add a little more water in order to get all of the mixture into one solid, slightly sticky ball.

6: Fill the silicone dog bone treat holder with the dough.  If you don’t have one of these, you can roll the dough out and use cookie cutters to cut out the treats.

7: Bake for 30 minutes or until the dough has hardened.

8: Let cool and the dogs will love it! (:

The dogs loved it!  I even made it gluten free and tried it.  LOL
